Detailed Introduction:

Located in the pharmaceutical industrial park of Tema, Ghana, this project marks Berbson’s first turnkey pharmaceutical cleanroom engineering project in West Africa. With a total construction area of 10,600 square meters, the facility includes three core functional zones: an oral solid dosage workshop, a sterile filling line, and a microbiology laboratory.

Berbson provided an integrated solution covering process layout design, material supply, and on-site construction and installation. The project adopted a high-performance magnesium oxide rock wool cleanroom panel system together with a corrosion-resistant polyurethane flooring system, creating a durable and compliant production environment for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Built in strict accordance with WHO GMP and PIC/S international standards, the cleanroom achieved classified control from ISO Class 5 core areas to ISO Class 8 support areas, meeting the high cleanliness requirements of modern pharmaceutical production.

To address the hot and humid tropical marine climate of Ghana, the project team optimized the moisture-resistant panel formulation and airtightness design, ensuring stable year-round temperature and humidity control inside the facility.

The project successfully passed the inspection and acceptance of the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority on the first attempt, becoming a benchmark for pharmaceutical infrastructure development in the country. This achievement highlights Berbson’s system integration capability and cross-border delivery strength in executing international pharmaceutical cleanroom projects in tropical regions.
