Detailed Introduction:

Located in Accra, the capital of Ghana, this project marks Berbson’s first turnkey cleanroom engineering project in the life science sector in West Africa. With a total construction area of 8,700 square meters, the facility includes three core functional zones: a biotechnology R&D laboratory, a cell culture room, and a diagnostic reagent production workshop.

Berbson delivered a full-chain solution covering process layout design, material supply, construction, and installation. The project adopted a magnesium oxide rock wool cleanroom panel system together with airtight door and window systems, creating a reliable and compliant environment for life science research and production.

The project was executed in strict accordance with WHO guidelines and ISO 14644 international cleanroom standards. The clean areas achieved classified control from ISO Class 5 core zones to ISO Class 7 support zones, meeting the stringent environmental requirements of advanced life science facilities.

To address the challenges of Ghana’s tropical climate, including high temperature and humidity, the project team optimized the moisture-resistant panel formulation and airtightness design to ensure stable and controllable temperature and humidity throughout the year.

The project passed the inspection and acceptance of the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority on the first attempt, becoming a benchmark for life science infrastructure development in West Africa. It fully demonstrates Berbson’s system integration capability and cross-border delivery strength in executing international cleanroom projects under tropical climate conditions.
