Detailed Introduction:

Located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, this project is a landmark high-end medical cleanroom engineering project undertaken by Berbson in the Middle East. Designed for a newly built surgical department of a local royal hospital, the project provides a complete integrated solution with a total construction area of 9,200 square meters, including 18 ISO Class 5 laminar flow operating rooms, 6 ISO Class 7 interventional operating rooms, and a supporting sterile supply center.

Berbson provided a full-chain service covering medical process design, material supply, construction, and installation. The project adopted a magnesium oxide rock wool cleanroom panel system together with airtight automatic door systems specially designed for operating rooms, creating a safe, efficient, and highly controlled medical environment.

The facility was designed and built in strict accordance with U.S. FGI guidelines and Saudi Ministry of Health standards. The core surgical zones achieved ISO Class 5 cleanliness, while the auxiliary medical areas reached ISO Class 7, meeting the stringent environmental requirements of modern hospital operating departments.

To address the challenges of the desert climate, the project team strengthened the sealing performance of the enclosure system and optimized the constant temperature and humidity control strategy, ensuring a stable surgical environment throughout the year.

The project successfully passed acceptance by the Saudi Ministry of Health on the first attempt and has become a demonstration project for modern medical infrastructure in the Gulf region. It highlights Berbson’s system integration capability and international project delivery strength in the field of high-end medical cleanrooms.
