Detailed Introduction:

Located in Lagos State, Nigeria, this project represents another important turnkey cleanroom engineering milestone for Berbson in the life science sector across West Africa. With a total construction area of 3,000 square meters, the facility includes three core functional zones: a vaccine pilot production workshop, a Biosafety Level 2 laboratory, and a quality control testing center.

Berbson provided an integrated solution covering process layout design, material supply, construction, and installation. The project adopted a magnesium oxide rock wool cleanroom panel system together with a corrosion-resistant polyurethane flooring system, creating a reliable, durable, and regulation-compliant environment for biopharmaceutical research and pilot-scale production.

The facility was designed and built in strict accordance with WHO GMP and ISO 14644 international standards. The cleanroom achieved classified environmental control from ISO Class 5 core zones to ISO Class 7 support zones, meeting the demanding cleanliness requirements of vaccine and life science applications.

To address the hot and humid coastal climate of the Gulf of Guinea region, the project team optimized the moisture-proof sealing design and condensate water management system, ensuring stable and controllable temperature and humidity throughout the year.

The project successfully passed acceptance on the first attempt by Nigeria’s national food and drug regulatory authority, becoming an important infrastructure support for the country’s vaccine localization strategy. It further demonstrates Berbson’s system integration capability and cross-border delivery strength in executing international biopharmaceutical cleanroom projects under tropical climate conditions.
